The Warm Line Operator / Information and Referral Specialist is designed for a person who has had lived experience as a family member/ caregiver to a loved one (of any age) facing serious mental health challenges. This person will know Alameda County's Behavioral Health Care system well, and will become the FERC expert on resources within the county's behavioral health care system. Responsible for updating FERC's resource database, this person will also recruit, train, then lead a team of volunteers who will man the Warm Line after hours and on weekends. They will also take on special projects within the department. This is meant for a person who will be the first point of contact for family members in need. The Temporary Administrative Support Staff Person is to provide administrative support to a department Manager/Supervisor and staff.  The duties include general clerical, receptionist and project based work. This is a temporary contract employee-based position. Non-benefitted. Duration is estimated at 6 months though it may be extended depending on need.  To apply, please go to the employment page.
