Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services has a basic manual of services for children up to the age of 17.


Day Treatment is a non-inpatient group setting that provides vocational, occupational, cognitive, dialectic or other such therapy.  The time frame is usually on the order of several group meetings over four to six hours, thus longer than a single session or class.  At an inpatient hospital setting the day treatment may be referred to as a Partial Hospitalization Program and be part of the discharge plan from the inpatient section.  Here is a link to The Day Treatment Handbook published by Alameda County for adolescents and youth in Alameda County.  It is a handbook of procedures and resources put out by the Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services :
