Mental Health Association of Alameda County
The Mental Health Association of Alameda County (MHAAC) has been serving people with mental illness and their families throughout Alameda County, California since 1958.
MHAAC is an independent local affiliate of the Mental Health Association in California, which is based in Sacramento, and Mental Health America with offices in Alexandria, Virginia.
The MHAAC is a non-profit agency governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

MHAAC's current fiscal year budget is $2,950,000; of this, 90% comes from contracts with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services and San Mateo County Mental Health Services and the remainder from special events revenue and individual contributions.

PREP)Â an exciting new program that reaches out to help youth and young adults (age 16-24) when they are first experiencing symptoms of psychosis
